Man group send four men round moon. Go far, no man go far. Come safe. Soon.
Big sky-canoe, shiny metal beast built to touch moon, will not fly now! Four brave sky-travelers, strong cave-men chosen for moon-walk, must stay on ground for many sun-cycles. Sky-chiefs, the wise ones with markings, say big canoe has many owie-owies. During big test on Monday-sun, where all the fire-belly parts were checked, they find many bad parts not working right. Not safe for big boom-boom up to dark sky.
So, the grand journey to the moon must wait! Sky-chiefs say maybe one whole moon-turn, maybe more, before big canoe can finally go. Many cave-men who dreamed of seeing sky-walkers touch the shiny moon-rock will grunt and wait. The sky-boat needs to be strong before it fights big wind and flies far away.
Ooga, a keen-eyed berry gatherer: "Me bring yummy roots to watch big canoe go up! Me wait since morning-sun. But then... no zoom! Me feel sad in belly."
Grak, a rock painter from the valley: "Me get ready to paint new picture of sky-canoe fly. Me have good red mud ready. Now me just watch. Sky-canoe hide from us, no big fire show."
Elder Gront, Chief of Sky-Sign Readers: "Great Sky Spirit tell us to be patient. Sky-canoe must be strong for long journey. No rush big fire. We wait for good omens from moon-face and for Sky-chiefs to fix all owie-owies."
