Big shiny-rock sky-watcher, MAVEN, stop talk. Many moons silent, now Sky-Talker tribe say it dead. Sadness.

Sky-Talker tribe feel big sad-pain. Their great magic-box, the MAVEN, which fly far 'round the Red-Rock-Sky, now silent for many moons. They call and call its name, sending fire-signals to the sky, but MAVEN no answer. Now, Sky-Talkers declare MAVEN spirit gone, like old mammoth lost in the deep snow. This news make tribe worry about the sky-spirits. MAVEN was like our far-seeing eye, telling us secrets of the sky-winds and bright-star paths. Without its watch, maybe bad omens come unseen, or good hunting grounds remain hidden. This means harder life for us, less big-meat, less warm-skins from the hunt. ### Local Commentary Ugg, local berry picker: 'My heart heavy like big rock! MAVEN helped us know when good sky-lights meant ripe sun-berries, by watching the far-away glows.' Grak, fierce mammoth hunter: 'I saw its light once, a tiny spark among the stars. Now, just empty blackness where it was, a sad sight for a hunter's eye.' Shaman Zook, wise village elder: 'We must make the biggest fire tonight, for the spirit of MAVEN. It will guide other sky-eyes, and remind us to always look up, for wisdom lives in the sky.' Story by Thag from Caveman Talk Fire, on the scene.
