Big news, cave people! Strange new moving pictures now dance on cave walls! Many suns ago, big shadows started to move and twist in Great Echo Cave. They show brave hunters with new tools, strong cave mothers with warm fur, and even shiny new pots for berries. People gather close, eyes wide, mouths open. "Look! It move! Like real hunt!" they grunt, amazed by the dancing light. Everyone think this new magic for telling old stories. But smart cave-shaman say, "No! This not real 'story-fire'!" He point with gnarled finger. "This 'want-things-fire'!" He say the shadows show the new spear, the warm fur cloak, the big shiny berry pot so good, so strong, that cave people start to think, "Me NEED that spear! Me want that fur!" It not true spirit story, just tricky light to make cave people want to trade more shiny rocks and good meat for new things they not truly need. Zog, maker of fine fur wraps: "Me see new fur on shadow-wall. Look very warm. But my fur just as warm! They try make us think old fur not good. Hmph!" Larna, gatherer of shiny pebbles: "Me like pretty moving pictures. But then me see new shiny pebble on wall. Me think, 'My pebbles not shiny enough!' Make me feel bad. It tricky light!" Chieftain Korg, Leader of Fire-Keepers: "We watch these 'want-things-fires' close. We want good tools for tribe, but not want cave people tricked! True story-fire make us strong inside.
