Big Chief Orange-Hair say no fun at Bear-Ears big rock place. But old smart-paper say many fun possible.

Big Chief Orange-Hair, him with the loud voice, tell all tribe that Great Bear-Ears Stone-Land no good for stomp-walk or spear-throw. Him say no place for fun-time or happy-hunt. But then, smart-scribes from far-away land, they look at shiny-paper with secret cave-marks. These paper-rocks show that other big-talkers, the stone-keepers, knew many people could still play and hunt there. This bad talk make many tribe members sad, thinking no more good berry-picking or small-beast hunt near the big rocks. If chief say land no good, then our young ones miss seeing ancient cave-paintings and learning old ways. Our mammoth-meat supply stay safe for now, but good spirits from sacred places might frown on such talk. This mean less happy-spirits for tribe. ### Local Commentary Klarg, local berry picker, say: 'Me go Bear-Ears many times! Find many sweet berries! See many shiny-rocks! Chief talk-lie!' Zog, mighty mammoth hunter, grunt: 'Me see many small-beast trails there. Not just big-foot, but many hunter-tracks! Land full of life, not empty like chief say!' Grok, wise Village Elder, whisper slowly: 'Truth is like smooth river stone. You can hide it for a sun-cycle, but water always wear away dirt. We must trust what our eyes see, not just big chief's loud words.' Story by Grug from Caveman Talk Fire, on the scene.
