Big earth-shake smash homes. Far-tribe helpers go. Our people alone for lost ones. Much sadness, anger.
Sky-tall rock-cave, where Noel family live, fall down! Earth-stomp-stomp make ground angry, twin shakes ruin many places. Fire-spirit eat big-rock-cave, many many suns people gone, lost to angry earth and hungry fire. Noel, away with mate, run fast home, shout names into the dust, but silence answer back.
Far-tribe healers, good people with strong magic, now leave, their work done for now. Our tribe alone, dig for kin, sorrow deep in every heart. Anger grow big, like hungry mammoth, at big-chiefs who not help enough or fast enough. Who protect us when earth-stomp again? Who feed children when sorrow take strength from hands?
### Local Commentary
Gronk (local berry picker): 'My heart sad, like dark night. My brother, his mate, all gone. Who pick berries now? Who laugh at sunset?'
Zog (mammoth hunter): 'I saw the ground open, the big-rock-caves crack like dry bone. We dig with bare hands, but only find more tears, no breath. It bad, very bad, many more suns gone now.'
Chieftain Ugh (Tribal Chief): 'We must stand strong, like old tree against wind. Help each other, share what little we have. Earth take much, but spirit stays. We talk with fire, ask for sun's return, and for strength for our grieving tribe.'
Story by Grog from Caveman Talk Fire, on the scene.
