A tribal member ponders if his old animal furs are still good for his wise age.
A caveman, wise in many seasons, named Oog, now scratch head by big fire. He look at his best mammoth-fur loincloth, the one with shiny-bone beads. Oog wonder if his old bones still fit young-hunter style. He feel wind blow through many holes now, not like strong young beast.
This problem make tribe talk by fire. If old hunters wear too-young hides, maybe they no get respect for big hunt. Or, if young hunters try wear elder furs, maybe spirit of hunt get confused. This could mean less mammoth meat for all, less warm for long winter.
### Local Commentary
Klarg, local berry picker: "Me see Oog try dance like young one in old, bright fur. Make me drop basket of sweet-berries!"
Thag, skilled mammoth hunter: "Many suns ago, Oog's furs were sharp, ready for chase. Now, they flap like tired bird. No good for stealth."
Chief Zog, wise leader of the Great Cave: "Each season, each age, has its own strong spirit. Wear what makes spirit strong, not what make young feel old or old feel silly. Wisdom is best hide."
