Three big, angry fires send dark smoke. Air bad to breathe, hard to see sun, next few sleeps.
Big fire far away, beyond many hills, make the sky-breathe bad. First, thin haze float high, like spirit-cloud. But now, dark smoke rolls in, pushed by wind-spirit from water-big-village. Sky turn grey, sun hide, air become thick for all tribe.
This bad sky-breathe make small ones cough, old ones weak. Hunters see not far, make finding fast-beasts hard. Berry pickers might miss good shiny-berries in the gloom. We must stay close to cave, guard fire.
### Local Commentary
Ug, local berry picker, rub his eyes. "My eyes burn! Not good for finding red-round-things! Sky feel like angry spirit breathe on us!"
Grom, big-strong mammoth hunter, squint at horizon. "Hard to see big beasts far away. Smoke hide the trails. Must be careful, not fall in dark pit!"
Oogla, wise elder of the tribe, spoke with slow voice. "Stay near home-fire. Breathe shallow. When sky clears, we hunt more. For now, listen to the wise ones, stay safe."
