Ugh. First, rice, beans. Is bottom food.
Then, people put more. Put yellow bits, stink-cheese, green mush, green leaf. Maybe fire-pig or torn bird. Put more things.
Make big pile. Eat. Good.
Big news rock the cave! Smart cave folk find new way to eat. No more boring mammoth chunk for every sun. Now, food is big pile of good things. Tribe happy. Bellies full. The new way is easy. Start with bottom food: white mush and brown pebbles. This is the start pile. It is good, but not best. The best part is what comes next.
Everyone make their own pile! Put on what you like. Put on yellow sun rocks. Put on stinky milk rock. Put on soft green rock from tree. Put on little green leaves. For meat-eaters, pile on salty boar stripes or torn bird meat! You make your food pile. If you like it, you put it on. If you no like, you leave it in basket. Every caveperson get food they want. No more grunting at cook.
Ooga, who makes very sharp spears: "Me like new food way. Me put on boar stripes. And more boar stripes. Make me strong for hunt. Good idea."
Bleep, a collector of shiny rocks: "Me no like meat. Me put on green soft rock and yellow sun rocks. Taste like sunshine! My belly make happy noise."
"This make tribe strong," say Chief Zog, Keeper of the Big Fire. "When everyone eat what they like, they have strong arms and happy hearts. Good for hunt. Good for gather. Is smart food for smart tribe."
